Shake 'n' Skate

December 31 marked the end of yet another year and, more importantly, the completion of the skate ramp in my backyard. The combination of the two has inevitably lead to my 2007 new year's resolution - learn to skate. A few friends came over New Year's Eve Day for the inaugural skate session/impromptu dance party. I'm not sure what needs more work, the shaking or the skating but both were pretty damn funny to watch.

That might be the best thing I've ever seen. It completely restores my faith in humanity. Thank you.

That is truly awful. I sense a sponsorship deal coming my way from Chocolate. Or their sister company, Fudge.

Chum...I'd say not bad for your first time on a ramp, you proved much more adept than I...The dancers, however, have no excuses.

G...thank dak, way man and chum...they were definitely channeling something that day and we are all the better for it.

I heard Chocolate's step-sisters, second cousins, brothers company, Nutella, is interested... in the dancers.

Dude, I think that actually outdid the La Bocana special. Serious skills Chumly. Anyone fancy a surf this weekend? Would love a Friday or Saturday afternoon.

Patch...We are obviously in need of your vertical tutelage. Currently the ramp looks like a snowboarding half-pipe but as soon as things melt, come show us the way.

Nash... You are a stakeholder in the ramp...can't say it's officially christened until you've ridden 'er. Definitely up for surf this weekend. Saturday is looking likely.

Rhythmically motivated, stylish...yet simple. Reminiscent of Muppets Dance Party. I like it. I give it a 6.2...

Thanks for letting us ride today! Although, I am a bit dissapointed that there were no platform dancers to get the session really pumping.
